Today on March 31 2015 the rajya Upobhokta Mahasangha called a 12- Hour Odisha Bandh against the power tariff hike by the Odisha Electricity Regulatory Commission (OERC).
Mahasangha president Panchanan Kanungo said "All School, Colleges and Vehicular movements
will be stop from 6 am to 6 pm on this day.
OERC in the tariff announced for 2015-16, OERC has raised tariff for domestic category consumers
by 20 paise per unit while the same for farmers was raised by 40 paise per unit.
